An international consumer products company manufacturing and distributing high value counter top appliances was looking for a returns processing and redistribution solution to meet its growing sales numbers. This manufacturer needed a flexible model for warranty and non-warranty services that would allow them to adjust returns processing.  The client’s management also needed a tracking system and communications structure that would provide them with improved inventory tracking and reporting capability.

Improvements

Returns Management Inc. presented this growing consumer company with an integrated solution providing returns processing, storage, and order fulfillment all in one convenient location. We established a single point of personal contact to facilitate communication. Reports detailing what has been shipped, complete with tracking numbers, serial numbers, and pricing, gave the client’s management an accurate, detailed, and up-to-date status of their returns processes, fulfillment, and order status. RMI supplied other support including engineering analysis, detailed product inspection and testing, relabeling and package design.

Result

Partnering with RMI allowed this client to improve their returns process and costs. The account manager provides a single point of contact for their corporate management so they can communicate effectively with RMI.  RMI’s solutions has increased flexibility in their system and reporting techniques to provide them with the information they need to make better informed decisions. On average their product recovery increased by over 40% and increased their sales price by 25%.
